Heartmallows

I made homemade marshmallows using The Urban Posers rustic mallow recipe.
I like it cause it is sweetened with honey.
I've made marshmallows made with sugar but they turn out so sweet it is hard to eat them all before they turn!
These are like soft pillows of delishiousness.
I used cocoa powder and cinnamon for the outer coatings.
The cinnamon ones are like red hots.
 Delish.
 Heartmallows.
The mallows take on the taste and soft sweetness of the honey.
I used an orange blossom honey.
 Orange hearts.

They do melt and taste great in hot cocoa.
If these marshmallows were to last a few days and dry out you would have chocolate and cinnamon lucky charms.

Getting Knitty

I find that the winter is the only good time to knit.
My hands get to hot in the summer and when the fall comes I am too excited about the season change to start anything.
Now that cold weather is here my hands have been busy.
Knitting away.
I am using Elliphantom knits mitten pattern.
It is an easy to read pattern and goes pretty smoothly.
My problem is that I stop paying attention and drop stitches!
So this has become a slow process for me.
Hopefully I'll have two mittens by the end of this weekend.

Kale Chips

Chips! Of the kale variety!
A few bunches of kale broken in to chip size pieces.
Covered evenly with olive oil.
Seasoned with salt, pepper and some cayenne.
Kale chip.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
Or until crispy.
But not burnt.

Eat!

Sun baby

Wicket is catching some sun light today.
She's more of a sun baby than a winter baby.

 Oh gosh. I woke her!
It will be ok! Go back to sleep!

 Ahhh sleep.
 Sun smile.

Fabric Garland

Super easy fabric garland.
I used fabric scraps from the Westwood Acres bundle.
I had about four or five of each fabric.

These sewed up in 10 minutes.
Pretty fast.

Adds great color to the room.

Best Chocolate Cake

Winter is coming.
Hibernation mode has started.
Baking takes up my extra time.
And space in my belly.
This is pretty much the best coconut flour cake I have ever had.
There is not eggy taste. It is light and moist.
I changed pretty much nothing from the recipe.
I did add orange extract to have an orange chocolate taste

The frosting is not so much a frosting as a hard chocolate shell with coconut.
I used the chocolate goodness recipe from the other days donuts.
 Seriously the best cake ever.
 And it is all gone.
